About Paws 4 Thought

My name is Sarah Heyes, owner of Paws 4 Thought Pet Care Services . We Are a small family run pet care service based in Horwich, Bolton. We hold public liability insurance for all services we provide and are local authority licensed. I have many years of experience caring for animals and provide a reliable service where kindness and consideration is always assured. I also have a diploma in Animal Communications and am fully qualified in Animal First Aid. Although no sole person or business can CRB check themselves (only people who are doctors/teachers etc can be checked by their employers) I myself do hold a current police (CRB) check. Refrences from clients and veterinary professionals are available.

I have always lived in Horwich and spent my childhood growing up with Guide Dogs.  When I was 16 I got my first kitten Max, who at the time was feral. I successfully tamed Max and this began my interest in feral cats. This interest developed when I volunteered for Bolton and Radcliffe Cats Protection. I provided foster care for abandoned and unwanted cats and now have a wide range of knowledge in the welfare of cats. During my two years with CPL I specialised in the socialisation of feral cats/kittens. 

Until October 2010 I was employed by Guide Dogs for the Blind, working in the kennel environment providing care for upto 30 dogs in training. I still enjoy boarding trainee Guide Dogs when I get the opportunity.

Madison is our black labrador, She gets on extremely well with all dogs and cats which come to stay! Maddie share's our home with our pet cats who are very well socialised and have grown up around dogs.

It has always been my ambition to develop a pet care service that provided a welcoming, homely environment as an alternative to kennels/catteries. This is what Paws 4 Thought has become. 

Having worked full time I understand the frustration of working long hours and not being able to provide the level of exercise you would like for your dogs due to this I developed a dog walking service.

Deborah Houlston - (Dog Walker/Pet Carer)
Deborah joined Paws 4 Thought in 2011 to help us out during busy periods/whilst we are on holiday. Deb lives in Horwich and has 2 cats Bella & Sebastian (A.K.A Sebass!) She works at Pike Moor Vets in the evenings and in her spare time is a volunteer for a local dog rescue.

Deb has lots of experience caring for animal and shares the dedication and commitment for providing excellent pet care. I have known Deb for a number of years and am really pleased to have her on board.
